Daryl Ostrander, Advisor & Investor
Daryl A. Ostrander served as Senior Vice President for Technology Development and Manufacturing and Supply Chain for Microprocessor Solutions Sector (MSS) of Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) from 1981 to 2008. Mr. Ostrander has 35 years of experience in the semiconductor industry with expertise in semiconductor manufacturing. He gained manufacturing and technology management experience working for Texas Instruments. Mr. Ostrander served at AMD until February 2008.
During Daryl's 27-year tenure with AMD, he managed worldwide fab operations in Dresden and Singapore, assembly/test operations in Penang, Singapore and Suzhou, and technology development operations in New York. Mr. Ostrander has operated his own enterprise, Ostrander Holdings, LLC since 2008. He developed technology transfer methodologies that resulted in mature product yields and speeds at the onset of manufacturing. He developed manufacturing strategies for AMD.
Daryl has been a Director of AMI Semiconductor Inc. and ON Semiconductor Corp. since February 26, 2009.
Daryl earned a BA in Physics from Rice University and his PhD in Physics from University of Houston in Texas.
